Our psychologists offer a supportive space for you to speak about the challenges you are facing, where you can develop the insights necessary for change. You will also be offered tools and taught skills to be able to manage symptoms outside of the session, with the goal of helping you become empowered and confident in navigating your mental health concerns.

Our psychologists in Carlton, offer Medicare rebates which significantly reduce the cost of sessions. Under the Mental Health Care Scheme, you can be rebated for up to ten sessions a year. This model allows for short-term treatment, which psychology is particularly suited to.

The Spring Clinic in Melbourne welcomes psychologist Tess Jennings to the team. Tess is an experienced and caring psychologist who provides psychology for queer folk in Melbourne, as well as the general public. She also specialises in working with eating disorders, anxiety and depression. Tess practices psychodynamic therapy, which is built on the principle that our early relationships condition how we experience and engage with the world. Psychodynamic therapy theorises that our early ways of coping with the distress of separation, criticism or trauma in our childhood, can lead to survival strategies which were once essential but can become maladaptive and cause symptoms later in life.
