My Approach

With a heart for compassion, empathy and presence, I have a capacity and natural expertise for holding space in a way that generates safety and trust. Inspired by a contemplative worldview, I strive to work in ways that facilitates the presence and practice of compassion, dignity and liberation. With a deep intention to create a safe space, my therapeutic practice seeks to honour the inherent dignity of all people, integrating a holisitc person-centred approach that supports and values wholeness, generativity and hope. As such I am trained in Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Focusing. As a musician, writer and yoga and meditation instructor, I also draw upon creative and experiential practices to support people and communities towards unexpected breakthroughs and possibilities. I have worked within and across the education, health and social services sectors, taking on projects and initiatives for meaning making with refreshing honesty, courage and perspective. My search for and intention for wholeness is reflected in the pursuit of studies across education, ecology, wellbeing and spirituality. Alongside the skills and knowledge I have acquired lies a natural groundedness that resides in and respects what is real.
