My Approach

I am a therapist and parenting practitioner with a Master of Social Work offering individual and couples therapy in Melbourne and online. People often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or caught in patterns that are difficult to shift — particularly in their relationships. From an attachment perspective these patterns often develop in response to earlier experiences of connection shaping how we learn to seek closeness, manage distance and respond when relationships feel uncertain or strained through conflict and adversity. These ways of relating can feel deeply familiar even when they lead to disconnection, conflict, or a sense of being misunderstood. In our work together I offer a space to slow things down and begin to make sense of these experiences. With care and attention, we can explore the emotional undercurrents, relational dynamics, and broader contexts that shape how you feel, respond and connect — especially in moments where it matters most.

My work is grounded in lived experience, attachment and emotion-focused therapy,
psychodynamic and systems-based approaches. I’m trained in EFT through the Australian Institute of Emotion-Focused Therapy, I hold a certificate in Integrated Couples Therapy with Relationships Australia and I am a practitioner of Family Foundations. I also draw upon Single Session Thinking and No Bullshit Therapy which I studied through The Bouverie Centre. Alongside this, I have a postgraduate degree in Sociology and Anthropology and this background shapes the way I understand people — not just as individuals but within the broader contexts of family, culture, and lived experience.

I have experience working in the non-profit sector supporting children, parents, and families as a parenting practitioner/coach which continues to inform my understanding of relationships, attachment, and the ways early experiences shape how we come to connect with others. This
work has deepened my appreciation for the complexity of family systems and the different ways people learn to navigate closeness, care and emotional expression.
My approach is collaborative and grounded in creating a sense of safety and trust. From this place therapy can become a space where new understanding emerges — and where differentways of relating both to yourself and others can begin to take shape.
