My Approach

Alexandra provides integrative psychotherapy to individuals and couples and is passionate and curious when working with people from all walks of life. Her therapeutic work focuses on facilitating people to develop healthier relationships – to themselves, to others and the environment. Through a collaborative, compassionate and playful approach, she utilises the therapeutic relationship as a model and vehicle for this change.

Alexandra has humanistic values and believes that positive change in therapy, leads to a happier and healthier community. She takes a systemic perspective and reflects on how marginalisation, oppression and economic circumstances impact individuals and couple's lives. Her therapeutic work seeks to support clients in realising their greatest personal freedom and potential.

Alexandra studied a Bachelor of Arts at Monash and a Bachelor of Integrative Psychotherapy at the Ikon Institute. She has undergone training in adult attachment repair, the Gottman Method of Couple’s Therapy, Emotionally focused couples therapy and PACT couples therapy. She has attended additional sexology trainings focusing on desire discrepancy and sexual trauma. Based on the needs of her clients, she integrates knowledge from a range of models including mentalisation based therapy (MBT), trauma theory and psychodynamic therapy.
